FAQ
How long does it take to produce a front page? What if I need it urgently?
Hit The Headlines aims to produce all newspaper front pages, cards and wrapping paper within two working days of receiving all the information and photograph from you. Please allow time for first class delivery. If an order is needed very urgently we will do our very best to meet your deadline. There is no extra cost for urgent orders, however please state when you require it by on your order form.
When do I supply my photograph and personal details about the star of my mock newspaper?
When placing your order you will be asked to choose the style of your newspaper (red or blue), the name of your newspaper and three adverts. You will then proceed to the checkout for payment. When payment has been received you will get a confirmation email. In the email will be a list of questions to answer about the star of your newspaper. It is at this stage you will also be asked to send your photograph.
How much is postage & packaging?
Postage & packaging is £2 for newspaper front pages, whatever size and regardless of how many front pages you buy. Delivery is first class post. Frames cannot be posted. Postage is £1 for greetings cards and £2.50 for gift wrap.
Can I order by post?
Yes. If you don't want to order with your credit/debit card over the website you can order by cheque in the post. Just telephone or email us stating which design/s you are interested in and we will send you an order pack in the post.
Can pages be back-dated?
Yes. This is a popular choice for weddings and newborn babies.
I cannot answer some of the questions on the form or they are not relevant. What can I do?
No problem. You do not have to answer every question. Just fill in what you can and if there are other details you feel are more appropriate just add them on to the bottom of the form. After all, we want all our pages to be as personal as possible.
I love the idea of personalised newspaper front pages and want to buy one as a gift, however I cannot see a design suitable.
If you have an idea for a story which we do not currently produce, we might still be able to cater for your needs. We will consider writing a completely new one-off article or adapting another design. This will be subject to an additional charge of between £10 and £40 depending on the amount of work.
What is the best way to send my photograph?
You can send us a print in the post. Or e-mail it to info@hittheheadlines.co.uk, this should be in a j-peg format and as high quality as possible. Or if you live in the Bridlington area drop it off by hand with your completed form.
Can I use any photograph?
No. Due to Copywrite laws we can only reproduce photographs with the consent of the person who took the photograph (or who owns Copywrite). Photographs are fine to use if they are snapshots taken by you or a friend, however if they were taken by a professional photographer we do need written permission from the photographer to reproduce them.
Will the wording of my story, headlines and captions be exactly the same as the examples on the website?
No. Because every front page is unique the exact wording of all personalised newspaper front pages may vary. The examples and newspaper previews on this website are for guidance only. The headline, adverts and main article will be made much more personal to you.
Is the final design in colour? And what kind of paper is it printed on?
Yes the final design is in full colour. It is printed on professional, glossy photo paper for maximum quality. However, if you would prefer your page to be black and white, just let us know.
What sizes are available?
A3 or A4.
I have received my order but there is a (spelling) mistake.
The utmost care is taken when producing all personalised newspaper front pages, however if a mistake is made and it is our fault we will happily correct it. We will provide you with a new, correct front page as soon as possible and at no extra cost to you. However if the mistake is your fault ie you misspelt a name on the order form, we will take no responsibility. You do however have the choice to purchase a corrected front page at a reduced price, just 30% of the original price plus P&P.
